Trees From Above

The River Church Cincinnati is a local church with an eternal mission. Cory & Jordan Bowman are the founding pastors. The vision of the church is to fulfill the Great Commission described in Mark chapter 16. To operate in the same power that Jesus and the early Book of Acts church did. There is a hunger for the Power of God in every city, state, region, and country in the world and our goal at The River is to provide a place for residents of the Tri-State region to experience that Power. The River is a place where we experience and cultivate that Power and knowledge of the Holy Spirit on a continual basis. We are a church of solid biblical teaching, anointed preaching, and demonstration of the Holy Spirit.

The River Church also takes this message of the Gospel outside the walls of the church. Our vision is to see the power of God in the streets and realms of influence of Cincinnati. The power of God is available to EVERYONE and it is our job as believers to make sure that EVERYONE hears this Good News.

EVERYONE should have the opportunity to give their life to Christ. EVERYONE can receive an encounter with the tangible, life-altering, presence of God. We ask that you consider TODAY to be a part of the River Church family in Cincinnati, Ohio. We love you and know that God loves you and has a tremendous plan for your life.

Pastors Cory and Jordan and The River Church Cincinnati acknowledge the incredible impact of Drs. Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne. This church wouldn't be possible without the example of our spiritual leaders and family in Tampa, FL at The River at Tampa Bay Church and Revival Ministries International.

Cory & Jordan Bowman are the founding Pastors of The River Church Cincinnati. They, along with their three children, Sawyer, Finn, & Hazel, live in the Cincinnati area. They have a heart and vision to see people raised up in the teaching of God’s Word, to give their lives to Jesus Christ, and to have an encounter with the tangible presence of God through His Holy Spirit.

Cory is a native to Ohio and is a graduate of the Farmer’s School of Business of Miami (OH) University. After having an encounter with God at a church service in Kentucky, Cory decided to pursue the call of God on his life. He moved to Tampa, FL to study at River University. This university is under the ministry and leadership of Drs. Rodney & Adonica Howard-Browne. It was there that God burned a desire in Cory's heart for full-time ministry and to see others experience the Fire of God.

Jordan is from Oklahoma and is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center. Her studies were under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth W. Hagin & Rev. Lynette Hagin. After graduating, Jordan felt the call of God to move to Tampa, FL and to work under the ministry of Drs. Rodney & Adonica.

Cory and Jordan met at the River at Tampa Bay Church and were married. The couple were involved in many different areas and departments of the ministry in Tampa, FL. This ranged from Data Entry, Maintenance, Worship, Youth Leadership, Call Center, Media and Production, and more. While working in Tampa and starting their family, God started speaking to Cory & Jordan. They both felt a burning desire to see Cincinnati, Ohio impacted for eternity. They knew the time would come to plant a church in the area.

The River Church Cincinnati was founded Fall 2020. It's the heart of Pastors Cory and Jordan for the church to be a place where lives are impacted for eternity and revival happens in the hearts of individuals in the region.

In a world that is ever changing, there is one thing that remains constant and unwavering. GOD

The Word of God (the Bible) is divinely inspired and useful to teach us what is true (1 Timothy 3:16). It serves as a guide and lifeline to all who read it. The Bible is essential to the successful life of a Christian. It is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).

Eternal Salvation is available to all who call upon the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Romans 10:13). God gave His only son so no one would perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Jesus died on a cross for the wrongdoings of the world, was buried in a tomb, and 3 days later rose from the dead. This sacrifice and resurrection gives all who accept Him eternal life and victory over the power of sin. Jesus ascended to Heaven 40 days after His resurrection to send the gift of the Holy Spirit (John 24:49-51)

God’s Holy Spirit dwells within all who receive Christ AND the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:16). This baptism comes with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4-5). The Holy Spirit equips the believer to demonstrate God’s power in order to live victoriously on the earth. This power is to enable us to bring others to accept Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8-9).

The 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ will take place as a catching away of the Church, The Body of Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). No person will know the exact time of this coming (Matthew 24:36). Before this event happens, Christians have a command. It is the responsibility of EVERY believer to fulfill the Great Commission. To demonstrate the power of God. To heal the sick. To cast out demons. The believer is to preach the message of Jesus, win the lost and make disciples (Mark 16:15-18).

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrew 13:8). The acts, signs, wonders, and miracles that occurred during His 33 years on the earth are also the same YESTERDAY, TODAY, & FOREVER. This was the case during the early days of the Christian Church described in the Book of Acts. The Body of Christ is to do the same and GREATER works than Jesus did (John 14:12). This is to see the Church grow and impact lives for eternity.

Christians are Followers of Christ. These followers can and should operate in the same victory & power Jesus did over 2000 years ago. This is through acceptance of Jesus as Lord over a person’s life, through studying the Word of God, and through receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues.

We invite you to give your life to Christ, receive His power through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and live a life dedicated to Him. You wont regret it!
